Company Profile:

Relcol Engineering cc, located in Jacobs Industrial Park Durban, was formed in 1999 by its present owners as a service provider to the manufacturing industry in the repair and overhaul of machinery.

We have since diversified into substation maintenance to 11000volts and Selective Brush Plating (on site electro plating defect repair).

Our current clientele is primarily in the Packaging Industry and whilst being involved with packaging we have added to our portfolio Strapping Machine sales and repairs for Strapack International a World Leader in strapping machinery and supplies.

In addition to these services we have worked with the Printing Industry particularly on the production side being able to go on site and repair damaged cylinders with minimal disturbance to production downtime.

Relcol Engineering has, over the past ten (10) years been involved in two (2) R25,000,000 projects as well as three (3) R5,000,000 projects all of which were a success and have given our client the leading edge so that their customers do not have to obtain their products from overseas.

It has also enabled Relcol Engineering to offer employment to the local disadvantaged community on short term contracts during these extensive projects and at the same time offering skills transference and training.

In doing these projects we became a preferred supplier for our clientele. Having operated in the industry for the past twelve (12) years we have built up a database with the best suppliers in the industry that offer high quality locally produced products and use these suppliers continually.

They range from engineering suppliers to bearing suppliers to any of the trades associated with the engineering industry and electrical suppliers.

Fitter Training Workshop

Company Structure:

The members of Relcol Engineering have a combined experience of 50 years in engineering and electrical. Currently, the company structure of employees is as follows:

Workplace Skills Plan:

Relcol Engineering understands the need to develop and transform the industry by focusing on training of our current staff and by offering employment opportunities to previously disadvantaged individuals.

We are also members of Merseta and pride ourselves on training young Artisans to provide a high-quality standard of workmanship that Merseta has recognised by accrediting our workshop as a Fitter Training Workshop.

Our workshop is situated in Jacobs Industrial Park, Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa and is available seven days a week. We take pride in constantly delivering a cost-effective quality product to all existing and potential customers.

As part of our training program we insist that our apprentices work with a qualified artisan so as to instil the correct procedures with the appropriate work ethic and to ensure that when the task is complete the customer is completely satisfied. This training is also given to our general workers so that they can successfully perform in the duties assigned to them such as Effluent Plant maintenance or Departmental Machinery preventative Lubrication.

Safety is a key priority for our staff and the use of safety equipment is also a high priority within the company ensuring that our team understands the correct use of equipment and the implications of an accident. We are also covered for R1,000,000 in each o f the following:
